The MBRSC Post is back with a new design

The MBRSC Post is back with a more simple design and interesting topics related to issues and events in and out the campus of the American University in Dubai.
Ayah Hayani Domingo, a student in Visual Communication, won this month a competition to redesign the MBRSC Post as part of a project for a web design course with professor Spencer Striker. Another student from that AUD department, Habiba Hassan, helped to make functional the new website.
It was the editor-in-chief of the previous team of the MBRSC Post, senior student Farah El Barahwy, who had the idea to contact professor Striker to redesign the Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication student newspaper. An idea welcomed by the professor in Visual Communication. “I thought this could be a great final project for web design,” he recalled.
When professor Striker first looked at the old version of the MBRSC post, he found that “the content of the MBRSC Post was great but they were building it on an outdated word press content system that was last updated in 2013.”
“Simplicity is one of the factors that makes a website successful, both Apple and Google made simplicity really famous,” said Striker.
A lesson well learnt by his student Ayah Hayani Domingo who succeeded in designing a simple and clear website, while giving it a newspaper feeling.
