Inaugurating the month of food, Dubai presents its annual Etisalat Beach Canteen from February 22nd  to March 10th featuring international food trucks, live entertainment, and engaging activities.

The fun-filled beach hotspot is located behind the Sunset Mall in Jumeirah and is free of charge for the public.

Our favorite food truck, Chick’nCone, is appearing for the first time in the UAE at the culinary event. The New York-based restaurant serves crispy chicken in waffle cones, which has gotten people going crazy.

In an interview with Taha Ozkul, a chef at Chickn’Cone, he said, “I think there’s a positive response and people are really enjoying it. We had a constant line starting 1PM yesterday and actually ran out of stock causing us to shut down for 2 hours until we restocked. There’s a great possibility we might run out today as well.”

“We started the day with 15kgs of chicken and we ran out. Imagine, the hotel next door receives 100kgs of chicken,” he added.

Apart from giving up their summer body goals, visitors can indulge themselves in other activities.

What can you do?

The Beach Canteen offers live demos and cook-offs between chefs from Dubai’s popular restaurants, vendors at the festival, and influencers.

To add to the foodies’ delight, you can get a glimpse of Michelin-starred chef David Myers as he cooks live.

“This is the perfect weather for an outdoor beach canteen. I love the concept and it’s so lively here,” said Karan Dhakka, visitor, “the only issue I had was with the lack of parking, I wish they gave that more preference.”
