The MBRSC Celebrates its Tenth Anniversary

The Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication at the American University in Dubai celebrated its tenth anniversary with the presence of Dean Ali Jaber, media representatives from MBC, faculty members, and alumni at Arjaan by Rotana Hotel on February 28th.


in his speech inaugurating the ceremony, Ali Jaber referred to the importance of the MBRSC, expressed his gratitude for the faculty’s teaching efforts, the administrative body, and thanked the graduates who were present at the ceremony.

“You are in the right place. Media is the right profession at the right time, and the future calls for media, which is the driving force of the global economy,” Mr. Jaber said.

The director of the master’s program at the college, Dr. Pedro Silos, said “about 70% of our graduate students are willing to start their own business.” “Our goal is to provide them with the most innovative methods to increase their chances of success.”

The Associate Dean of the School, Dr. Carol Moufarrej, gave a speech on what makes the MBRSC one of the most notable faculty for media in the Arab world and also stated that the employment rate for MBRSC graduates was 98%, as of May 2018.

Rawan Mohammed, a bachelor’s alumni, said she feels “pride and love” for her School. “Ten years have passed quickly, and now I’m back as a master’s student.”

MBRSC was established in 2008 under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The college has celebrated the graduation of more than 330 students in the Bachelor of Communications and Information studies. It is the only institution in the Middle East which offers an academic master’s program that combines media innovation and leadership skills.
